I have two challenges, one that is finished and the other "in process".
IN-PROCESS CHALLENGE:
The "in process" challenge is to create a space that use 2.0 tools (most likely a blog) that the Internship Program and other career related activities offered to the guidance website, students, parents and the community at large. It is intended to be the "go to" space that will provide all of the information necessary to participate in the Senior Internship Program, Internship Program for underclassmen, both summer and school year, Career Activities, Career Development Education, Safety in the Workplace, Work Based Learning etc...
A very important component will be a separate space to create a virtual interactive classroom for the Senior Internship Program. Students participating in the internship in lieu of an elective will complete all work through the blog (?), have an interactive wiki (?) and be asked to share, respond and share their learning with program director and other interns. This all needs to interface with Naviance, (currently students complete internship portfolio on line through naviance) allowing students to leave holliston high school with a fully developed online career and college portfolio.
FINISHED CHALLENGE:
The challenge was to produce a program for the Career Morning using mac 2.0 tools. Pages was used to create this Career Morning Brochure as a way to inform and connect all participants of the career morning. Though not directed to be used with students, its parts were shared as it pertained to them.
